Oct-28-2009 Power Oil & Gas Engages Firm for Drilling Program Power Oil & Gas has engaged a Calgary-based petroleum consulting firm to assist in the planning, permitting and execution of a drilling program on its 100%-owned Bow Island natural gas project in Alberta.
"After reviewing the available geological data, the company’s scientific team has recommended further testing and exploration on its wholly-owned Bow Island natural gas project. Initially the company intends to map out its drill plan in greater detail so that our program can be completed as soon as possible. We are pleased to now have the support in place for program-execution and site operations,” says Manny Dhinsa, president of the company.
The company’s Bow Island natural gas project covers more than 6,700 acres, and is located in one of the most prolific natural gas regions of southern Alberta.
Power has a 100% interest in the project.
"We believe the upside on our Bow Island leases is substantial, and we plan to carry out exploration with a goal to develop our 100%-owned natural gas projects in a timely manner. Power is uniquely positioned to provide exceptional shareholder returns in a rising natural gas market" says Manny Dhinsa, president of the company.
Power’s natural gas project portfolio is focused in southern Alberta, and covers several key producing regions. Western Canada is one of the most significant regions for natural gas in North America.
